The French Riviera has some truly remarkable towns and villages offering a variety of graceful Belle-Epoque architecture, beautiful flora, stunning panoramas and medieval heritage. Many of you will have heard of St Paul de Vence, St Tropez, Eze, Cannes and of course Nice, but there are others, lesser known ones such as Gourdon, Tourrettes-sur-Loup and Valbonne that are equally appealing.

To say that we love the French Riviera is of course an understatement as the magical combination of sun, sea and mountains never fails to impress and captivate us. Yet this magic is further intensified with the added bonus of some unique towns and villages dotted across the landscape that, dependent upon the time of year or season, come into their own with festivals, music and world-famous events.

Some places have instant attraction as charm seems to literally ooze out of them from the word go. Others take a little longer to appreciate with the help of return visits either at different times of the year or day more suited to discover their hidden treasures. Coastal villages are always lively and fun but find themselves sadly over-burdened during the height of summer.

While the roads may be sometimes narrow, steep or a little winding you'll find getting around straight-forward whether you travel by car, train or bus as one of the outstanding charms of the French Riviera is (in our humble opinion) the proximity to one another of the towns and villages .  So, whether you're here for just a day or a week, you'll find it is possible to see (albeit fleetingly if you are here for only a few hours) "The French Riviera".

But perhaps the most endearing part of the French Riviera and its wealth of towns and villages is its incredible versatility; no matter what your budget, interests or tastes, whether you're a night-owl or not, you're sure to find what you're looking for.
