Steve Craddock, an Australian living at Barwon Heads on the Surfcoast in Australia, travels to the Côte and Provence as often as possible with his wife, Pat. Their daughter, Alison, marketing director for an international yachting firm, lives at La Colle-sur-Loup.

Steve’s personal website is in two parts. Firstly there are pages about far-off Barwon Heads — life in a coastal village changing rapidly under tourism pressures; and secondly many pages dealing with Provence, and focussing on the landscape, walking, history, travel, and books about the region.

As the original ‘pioneer’ of Mount Arapiles, Australia’s best-known crag, Steve is well-known in rock climbing circles, and he has pursued lifelong interests in sailing, hiking, climbing, and other outdoor activities.
