There are an astounding 170 festivals, occurring yearly on the Cote d'Azur, chances are you'll find something to your liking. Prized among all of them are the Cannes Film Festival, Monaco Grand Prix, the Jazz Festivals of Antibes, Nice and Juan-les-Pins, Menton Lemon Festival, Mimosa Festival, Nice Carnival, Menton's International Chamber Music Festival and the Grand Masters in Monte-Carlo.

Spring is a busy time here with February possibly the busiest month of the year as festivals jostle for attention from an ever growing public. It starts with the lovely Fete de Mimosa, quickly followed by the delightful Fete des Violettes in Tourrettes-sur-Loup and the Nice Carnival. Menton celebrates February with its spectacular Fete du Citron. 120 tonnes of fruit and 500,000 elastic bands are used to create a number of designs ranging from boats, people, animals and monuments.
