There are some truly exceptional excursions to be made on the French Riviera as indeed around many parts of the South of France. Some are amazing due to their panoramas, others because of their historical value, still others due to their fauna and flora or exquisite architecture.

This section deals with just a few of the excursions that either I or our contributing authors have made.  Some are rather well known, such as the Botanical Garden in Eze, Villa de Rothschild, Ile de Lérins and Cap Ferrat; others are less so, but equally fascinating, such as Gonfaron's Tortoise Village, Quinson's Museum of Prehistory and, a little closer to home, Notre Dame de la Garoupe.
