Yes it does and sometimes it can be quite heavy due to the proximity of the Alpine Massif.  It seems to snow every few years on the French Riviera, normally either at the end of February or in March. For example, in February 1956, 31cm of snow fell in Antibes and along the coast in less than 3 hours; 30cm fell in 1985 in Nice and elsewhere, 22cm in 1986 and 15cm in 1991. However, since we've lived here (as of 1996), there have been lighter falls of snow and this tendency has continued. You'll find some snowy photos of our home in our random slide show.
