Welcome to the Book Review section. We have asked Martin Hills, one of our regular contributors, to select and review each month a book that we think you may enjoy reading. These are not necessarily of purely local relevance but will include subjects that we think you may find sufficiently interesting to wish to explore further.

Martin Hills has been a lifelong professional writer in such fields as journalism, public relations and integrated marketing communications, and ran a Fleet Street consultancy in the latter field for over 25 years before moving to France in 1995. He is a regular contributor to French News and The Connexion for whom he writes the Vive la Différence column currently being re-run on this website as well as composing bilingual cryptic crosswords.
