Ordained in June 1981 Rev Anne Naylor specializes in creating a heartfelt wedding ceremony that matches her clients’ spiritual preferences and those of their families, one which best represents the unique quality of love they wish to express in their marriage.

There is no greater commitment that you can make than to marry for life. Through a successful marriage, you will deepen your experience of love, well-being and joy in life. The day you make this commitment is a peak moment of loving - for yourselves, your families and friends. It is a day to remember.

For over 25 years, Anne has been giving Clear Results Consultations for clients who were either meeting a turning point in life (such as relocation, retirement, divorce, children leaving home) or wishing to change direction (career change, creating success or greater fulfilment). She has worked with individuals of all ages and walks of life, helping people to find new clarity, confidence and enthusiasm for achieving what they most want.

Anne brings the same qualities of the heart to all of her ceremonies. House blessings, baby blessings and especially funerals. Moving house often represents a new departure in life, a new beginning. A house blessing not only blesses the material fabric of the house, but also blesses the intentions for a new phase of life. A baby blessing, similar to a Christening, extends a pure Light over the infant for his or her well-being, happiness and fulfilment in life. A funeral commemorates the life of a loved one, giving thanks for the gifts they brought and shared with those close to them, enabling a closure to take place in a spirit of appreciation and love.

Published author of three personal development books, Anne has often appeared as a guest on radio and television.

Julia Child: My Life in France

If, like me until recently, you had never knowingly heard of Julia Child, it will help to understand that she was, so to speak, America’s answer to Elizabeth David.  It was she who, after the second world war, introduced the dishes and techniques of French cooking to, principally, her countrywomen.  I had been aware of, but never read, her encyclopaedic work Mastering the Art of French Cooking, but could not have told you who had written it (or even that it was an American book).  In fact, Julia Child later parted company from Elizabeth David: while David went on to explore the cuisines of Italy and other Mediterranean countries, Child stuck to that of France but developed her teaching skills into pioneering television cookery programmes decades before they came to clog up our TV channels on a daily basis.

Sarah's Midnight Anthology

A year ago I introduced readers of this website to an old friend, Sarah Nock, who had written an insightful  –  and surprisingly funny  –  account of what it is like to suffer from Parkinson’s disease.  (My review of Ponderings on Parkinson’s is still on-site.)  Now she has published another book of a quite different kind: an anthology of verse, but one with a difference.
