The International Academy of Arts is proposing classical disciplines such as painting, drawing, carving, sculpture and, of course, ceramics as Vallauris is one of the top well known cities for it made famous by Picasso. The first part of the semester is dedicated to the building of the basic knowledge in Art: drawing, perspective, composition, colours. The second part of the semester is oriented around the digital arts through photography, video and web-design.The International Academy of Arts is located in the old city of Vallauris, nearby Sophia-Antipolis and 20 minutes away from the International Airport of Nice-Côte d'Azur. The Academy was built in 2001 on request of the Minister of Culture of Valluris-Golfe Juan: Ivan Tetelbom by Prof. Jürgen Waller, previously the director of the "Hochschule für Künste Bremen".
